From your photo to a finished product.  First a pattern is made, and a size is determined, can be small enough to fit on a coat rack or larger.  Each piece is individually cut out of cedar, choosing appropriate colors of wood and grain direction.  Once the pieces are cut out, each piece is shaped and sanded.  The pieces are then glued back together and the beauty of the wood is brought out with a coat of tongue oil.  It is then sprayed with a coat of varnish. The finished piece can be backed and hung or framed.  Prices range from $75.00-$150.00 depending on size and number of pieces.
