I have been training, competing and teaching agility for the past 12 years.
My first dog went from Novice A to MACH. I currently have 4 dogs, 2 welsh terriers, a wire fox terrier and an airedale
terrier. My wire fox terrier was ranked #1 in AKC agility for the year 2003 and was and still is only the second wire
fox terrier to earn a Master Agility Championship. I am currently competing with my airedale terrier Starr. Starr
and I were invited to attend the AKC Agility Invitational, December 2006, in Long Beach, CA. Only the top 5 dogs of
each breed were invited to attend. Starr was again invited in 2007 and was the #4 airedale in 2008. She was also
ranked in the Top 5 AKC Airedales for 2007. Starr recently finish her Master Agility Championship becoming the 8th airedale
to achieve that title.
I have a Bachelor's of Music Degree in Music Education and a Saxophone perfomance degree
from Lawrence University. I have been teaching 4th & 5th Grade Instrumental Music for the past 13 years. I
am currently teaching in Appleton, WI.
I have previously taught at Camp Gone to the Dogs in Vermont as well as
Dog Days of Wisconsin. I served as Director of Agility Training for the Sheboygan Dog Training Club for three years.
I have worked privately with Guy Blanke, Stuart Mah, as well as attending seminars with Patti Mah, Joan Meyer, Debbie Hutchinson,
Dana Pike, Stacy Perdot-Goudy, Wendy Pape, and Elicia Calhoun and most recently Ann Braue.
I am a member of the
Welsh Terrier Club of America and I serve as the Mid-West Representative for WTCARES, the welsh terrier rescue organization.
I work very hard to place difficult dogs, those with dog aggression, fear aggression, house breaking issues, puppy mill surrenders,
in homes that will last forever.
All my training is positive and clicker based. I have attended Karen
Pryor's Clicker Expo and believe that clicker training is the best way to teach new behaviors. I have attended
many Suzanne Clothier seminars, travel to her farm for training each year, and subscribe to her relationship centered
training program. Any training should be enjoyable for both the human and the dog. Most anyone can train
their dog to have great skills, my goal is to not only train the dog, but to also develop the relationship
between human and canine.
